The communications director will have a key role in our work to win policy and campaign fights that advance our organizational goals. This senior leader helps implement digital strategy at the policy, electoral and organizing level, grow social media and online presence and engagement, lead the organizations' media relations and drive content and messaging strategy. This position can be based in Denver or in any other office in the central mountain region. Travel will be required to the mountain region. This position supports all affiliated organizations.
We are looking for a motivated leader who thrives in a start-up culture and is looking for an opportunity to build and strengthen Voces Unidas’ civic engagement and political programs. This position can be based in the Denver office, with extensive travel to the region to execute the work. A strong candidate will have experience managing field staff/volunteers, managing vendors, raising money, developing political campaign strategies, and working with strategic partners.
The Policy and Advocacy Director is responsible for directing the organization’s efforts to achieve policy change that advances equity, racial, social and economic justice, and civil rights for Latinas and Latinos in the central mountain region of Colorado. This position manages a complex portfolio of advocacy and policy programs and initiatives, including the Colorado Latino Agenda, Latino Advocacy Day in D.C. and Denver, and the Civic Leader Education and Advocacy Program in Mexico City.
